In 2007, DRF retained MDC, Inc. of Chapel Hill, N.C. to develop a regional assessment on community health needs. Researchers from East Tennessee State University (ETSU) identify key issues, performance gaps, and trends. The report includes data-based fact sheets on health issues of the region and recommendations. ETSU used multiple methods to engage a broad range of participants from Danville, Pittsylvania, and Caswell Counties.

DRF shares this information in the interest of supporting better informed public discussions about how together, we can transform the Dan River Region and build a brighter future.
