Danville Regional Foundation Calls for Fall Internship Applications Due June 30
May 25, 2010 - Supporting its mission to enhance economic development and education, the Danville Regional Foundation (DRF) is calling for applications for its Fall Internship Program now through June 30, 2010 from college students.
Every spring and fall, DRF offers as many as two full-time, paid internships for 17-weeks. The process is competitive with applications welcome from across the globe.
Selected interns gain first-hand experience in philanthropy, economic development, education, health and wellness, and community engagement. Interns also work with regional non-profit organizations throughout the community to be part of creating change.
Interested students - both undergraduate and graduate level - can learn more about the program and apply online.
DRF makes long-term investments to foster education, economic development, as well as health and well-being of residents in the City of Danville, Pittsylvania and Caswell Counties. Since its establishment in July 2005, DRF has invested more than $40 million into the community through over 40 grants to help position the Dan River Region as a thriving area with great opportunities to retain present, and attract future, residents.
