Dan River Basin Association Caswell County's Heritage Trails Master Plan $195,163 In partnership with the Caswell County Recreation Commission, the Dan River Basin Association grant will assist in funding the County's Heritage Trails Master Plan, a system of trails and greenways to meet the county's recreational and transportation needs promote healthy lifestyles and preserve the area's rich history.
Averett University Strategic Plan $175,000 A grant of $175,000 was awarded to Averett University for the development of a strategic plan that will outline opportunities and implementation strategies for developing a strong and vibrant University that benefits the region.
Dan River Business Development Center Virtual Incubator $304,000 A conditional grant of $912,000 over a three-year period was awarded to all the Dan River Business Development Center to build on the broadband infrastructure to better serve affiliate, virtual tenants, as well as provide support for new entrepreneurial development programs.
Virginia Health Care Foundation New Lease on Life: Health for Virginians with Mental Illness $50,000 A grant of $50,000 will help provide matching funds for a collaborative request from Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services, the Free Clinic of Danville and Piedmont Accept to Health Services and support Virginia HealthCare Foundation's statewide initiative, A New Lease on Life: Health for Virginians with Mental Illness. The project will provide free mental health services to more than 1,000 regional citizens.
